African Bank Investments Limited ("ABIL") has been informed of the following
purchase of securities in Eyomhlaba Investment Holdings Limited ("Eyomhlaba")
and Hlumisa Investment Holdings Limited ("Hlumisa"), ABIL`s black equity
ownership programmes. The purchase represents an indirect investment in ABIL.
Eyomhlaba currently holds 41.1 million ABIL ordinary shares, representing 5%
of ABIL`s ordinary share capital. Hlumisa currently holds 20.3 million ABIL
ordinary shares, representing 2.5% of ABIL`s ordinary share capital.
