APPOINTMENT OF INDEPENDENT NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Unitholders are advised of the appointment, with immediate effect, of Mr
Jabulane (Jabu) Albert Mabuza as an independent non-executive director to the
board of directors of Hyprop.
With effect from 30 September 2011, Mr Mabuza retired from the position of
Group Chief Executive of Tsogo Sun Holdings Limited.
Mr Mabuza has held directorships for various companies including Amalgamated
Retails Limited, Hosken Consolidated Investments Limited, ABSA Group
Limited, OK Bazaars Limited, African Renaissance Holdings Limited, Future
Bank Limited (Chairman) and Amalgamated Retail Limited.
Mr Mabuza served as Chairman of Mpumalanga Development Corporation and the
Marketing Federation of Southern Africa and was also Chief Executive of the
Foundation for African Business and Consumer Services.
Until recently, Mr Mabuza held a number of directorships within the Tsogo Sun
Group and Southern Sun Hotels. He currently holds the position of Deputy
Chairman of Tsogo Sun Holdings Limited.
Following Mr Mabuza`s appointment, 50% of the non-executive directors on the
Hyprop board will be categorised as independent.
