EVRAZ HIGHVELD RECEIVES NOTICE OF INDUSTRIAL ACTION
Evraz Highveld has received formal notice from its largest union, NUMSA that it intends to embark on
industrial action effective immediately. Such notice stems from a notice in terms of Section 189 of the
Labour Relations Act issued by the Company on 4 May 2012 that as a result of its fixed cost reduction
initiative, possible retrenchments could be implemented.
The Company regrets that such action would impact its initiatives to return to profitability, but remains
committed to find an amicable solution to the current circumstances.
