In October 2011 PPC submitted a bid for the privatization stake in CINAT, the Democratic
Republic of Congo's state-owned cement producer. The Company was notified that it was
one of two bidders shortlisted for final adjudication.
PPC has now been informed that its bid for CINAT has been declined and the other party has
been selected to commence contract negotiations.
PPC continues to explore several other opportunities as part of its sub-Saharan Africa
strategy.
