CHANGES TO THE BOARD
In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the Listing Requirements of the JSE Limited, Shareholders are
advised that Dineo Molefe has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director of Accentuate from her
previous position of alternative director with effect from 14 August 2012.
Shareholders are also advised that Mr. Pieter Kriel has been appointed as an alternate Director of
Accentuate to Dineo Molefe with effect from 14 August 2012. Prior to joining Thebe Investment
Corporation in an executive capacity in January 2011 to establish and head its new Power &
Infrastructure division, Pieter served on the Thebe Board as a non-executive director for twelve years.
During this period, he was also a member of the Thebe Investment Committee and chaired this
committee for the past year.
Pieter co-founded Sanlam Private Equity, a division of Sanlam Investment Management, in 2003. He
was the CEO of Sanlam Private Equity from 2005 until June 2009, when he stepped down from the
role of CEO, but remained actively involved in an executive capacity. Pieter joined Sanlam’s
Investment Division in 1987 after qualifying as a Chartered Accountant and completing his articles
with Ernst & Young. Whilst with Sanlam, he gained 24 years’ experience in investment management,
covering various roles including financial control, compliance, structured products, equity
underwriting, portfolio management, the structuring and management of black economic
empowerment investments and finally private equity. Pieter studied at the University of Stellenbosch
and the University of Stellenbosch Business School and holds the degrees B.Accounting and
Honours–B.Accounting, and a Certificate in Senior Management.
The Board takes this opportunity to welcome Pieter in anticipation of the valuable contribution he will
make during his term in office.
