TRADING STATEMENT
In terms of paragraph 3.4(b) of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited,
shareholders are hereby notified that the earnings and headline earnings per
share for the year ended 30 June 2009 are expected to be between 80% and 85%
lower than the reported earnings and headline earnings per share for the prior
comparative period, being the year ended 30 June 2008.
The earnings and headline earnings of the company have decreased as a result of
the settlement of legal proceedings brought on by the former employees of
Central News Agency. The amount of the settlement was R4.35 million. The amount
was expensed during the period ended 30 June 2009.
The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been
reviewed or audited by the company`s auditors. The annual financial statements
for the year ended 30 June 2009 will be posted to shareholders on or about 28
September 2009.
