shares were transferred from treasury shares on 22 August 2012 in respect of the Company’s share
plans.
Following the transfer, Anglo American plc has a total of 15,275,874 ordinary shares held in treasury
and a total of 1,390,181,298 ordinary shares in issue, excluding treasury shares.
