DIVIDEND DISTRIBUTION ANNOUNCEMENT IN RELATION TO THE BIL SHARE INSTALMENT
Notice is hereby given of the dividend amount payable for BHP BILLITON PLC and that as a result of
the dividend declaration relating to BHP BILLITON PLC (BIL) the Trustees of the Share Instalment
Trust have declared a dividend amount of USD 57 cents per BILNII share instalment that is payable
on Friday, 28 September 2012. Currency conversion will be based on the foreign exchange rate on
the last day to trade.
The implication of dividend tax is yet to be announced. The final payment will be rounded to two
decimal places.
The last day to trade cum-dividend is Friday, 31 August 2012. The Share Instalment will commence
trading ex-dividend from Monday, 03 September 2012. The record date will be Friday, 07 September
2012.
