APPOINTMENT OF INDEPENDENT NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AND CHANGE TO THE BOARD
In accordance with Section 3.59 of the JSE Securities Exchange Listings
Requirements, HCI shareholders are informed that Ms Barbara Hogan has been
appointed as an independent non-executive director of HCI with effect from 29
August 2012.
Ms Hogan worked at the Development Bank of South Africa as an institutional
specialist until her appointment as a member of parliament in 1994. She
served as chairlady of numerous committees including the budget committee,
finance portfolio committee and the standing committee of the auditor-
general. She was appointed to cabinet as Minister of Health in 2008 and
thereafter as Minister of Public Enterprises in 2009.
