CHANGES TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
In compliance with the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, the
Company announces the following changes to its Board:
The Board has accepted the resignation of Mr JA van der Schyff,
the current Financial Director, with effect from 4 September 2012
to pursue his personal interests. Mr van der Schyff has been a
member of the Board and Credit Committee since 15 September 2008.
The Board thanks Mr van der Schyff for his valued contributions
and wishes him well in all future endeavours.
The Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr GJ
Geel,CA(SA), as acting Financial Director of the Company. Mr Geel,
the current Chief Operating Officer, has been with the AFGRI Group
for 16 years, and brings a wealth of experience to the Board. He
was appointed as an executive director of AFGRI Operations
Limited, the operating subsidiary of AFGRI, in October 2009. Prior
to joining the AFGRI Group he was an audit manager at PwC.
The Board has full confidence that Mr Geel is best placed to
execute this interim position until a permanent replacement is
recruited. The Board wishes to inform shareholders that the
recruitment process is already in place and shareholders will be
updated accordingly.
