Limited, the board of directors of Santam Limited ("the board") hereby notifies
its shareholders that Dr Yvonne Muthien has retired as a non-executive
director with effect from 5 September 2012. Dr Muthien served on the board
since 25 November 2009. Management and the Board take this opportunity to
thank Dr Muthien for her contribution to the Group and wish her well in her
retirement.
