UNPROTECTED STRIKE AT VILLAGE’S BUFFELSFONTEIN GOLD MINE
Shareholders are advised that an unprotected strike at Village’s Buffelsfontein Gold Mine commenced during the
night shift on Monday, 5 November 2012. None of the category 4 to 8 employees forming part of the NUM
bargaining unit reported for work.
Management will continue to engage in constructive dialogue with employees, their representatives and other
stakeholders with a view to maintaining peace and resolving the strike. Village will approach the court for an
interdict as it considers this to be an unprotected strike.
