UPDATE ON SHARE CONSOLIDATION SALIENT DATES
Shareholders are referred to the SENS announcement dated 3 October 2012 and the circular dated
2 October 2012, regarding inter alia the consolidation on a 100:1 basis of the authorised and issued share
capital of Alert Steel (“Share Consolidation”).
The expected salient dates and times of the Share Consolidation set out in the SENS announcement and
the circular referred to above are subject to proof of filing of the relevant special resolutions with the
Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (“CIPC”) by 8 November 2012.
The Company has delivered the relevant special resolutions to CIPC but is still awaiting receipt of a
certificate of confirmation from CIPC in relation to such special resolutions, with the result that the 8
November 2012 deadline as stipulated in the SENS announcement has not been met.
Shareholders will be advised on the new salient dates for the Share Consolidation as soon as the relevant
confirmatory documentation has been received from CIPC.
