Board changes
The company is pleased to announce that Tumi Makgabo has been
appointed as an independent non-executive director of TFG with
immediate effect. Tumi is a director of Tumi Makgabo Enterprises
focusing on enterprise development in South Africa and into the
African continent, and founder and executive of AfricaWorldwide
Media (South Africa). In addition, Tumi currently serves as the
vice chairperson of the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda
Council for Women’s Empowerment. She is a patron of Future of
the African Daughter Project. Tumi serves as a non-executive
director of both Sun International and South African Tourism.
She is a well known television producer and broadcaster having
worked with both CNN International and the South African
Broadcasting Corporation.
The appointment has received unanimous approval of the company’s
nominations committee and the board.
