APPOINTMENT OF NEW LEAD INDEPENDENT NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of
the JSE Limited, the board of directors of Mvelaserve (“the
board”) hereby announces the appointment of Ms S Masinga as lead
independent non-executive director with immediate effect in the
place of Mr OA Mabandla who resigned as independent non-executive
director.
Ms Masinga was appointed as independent non-executive director to
the board since listing of the Company on 29 November 2010 and is
a member of the Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee, the Ethics
and Social Committee and the chairman of the Investment Committee.
She has a BCom degree and completed the USA-SA Leadership and
Entrepreneurship Programme at the Wharton School of Business. She
is the chief executive and one of the founding members of the
Afropulse Group and has held various executive positions in the
financial services sector.
