ordinary shares were transferred from treasury shares on 18 December 2012 in respect of the
Company’s share plans.
Following the transfer, Anglo American plc has a total of 14,515,734 ordinary shares held in
treasury and a total of 1,390,944,019 ordinary shares in issue, excluding treasury shares.
