Public consultation process on proposed amendments to JSE Listings Requirements in relation to the creation of a new
GEN – General – Public consultation process on proposed amendments to JSE
Listings Requirements in relation to the creation of a new type of listed
company.
It is proposed that additional requirements be included in the JSE Listings
Requirements as to make provision for the listing of Special Purpose Acquisition
Companies (“SPAC”). These SPAC requirements allow companies to list with only
cash on their balance sheet on the tenet that the company would acquire assets
which would make it viable for a normal main Board or AltX listing thereafter.

are invited to submit their comments by no later than Friday, 22 February 2013.
