APPOINTMENT OF BUSINESS EXECUTIVE: CONCRETE APPLICATIONS
It gives Protech great pleasure to announce the appointment of Mrs Sebasti
Badenhorst to the role of Business Executive: Concrete Applications.
Sebasti has a B.Eng in Civil Engineering (Stellenbosch) and an MSc Engineering
(Materials Technology) WITS and is a Registered Professional Engineer (ECSA).
Sebasti has 17 years of experience in the construction and materials supply related
industry. Her technical and executive skill set have been broadened and deepened in
various roles at Afrisam (Holcim) and Aveng.
Sebasti’s appointment complements and strengthens Protech’s strategic alignment
within the concrete value chain objectives we have set having held roles in structural
engineering design, cement and concrete technology, civil engineering construction
and strategic development. Sebasti is also a keen driver of sustainability within the
construction industry and our environment.
As such, she will with immediate effect take over the Executive role at Protech
Readymix.
Sebasti’s success and credentials are evident in her awards and being recognized as
‘The Concrete Person of the Year’ (Cement and Concrete Institute) in 2008, a
member of the advisory board of the University of Pretoria’s Built Environment faculty
and a member of SAICE.
Protech wishes Sebasti great success in her new role and looks forward to Sebasti
playing a significant role in the development and execution of the strategic and
operational objectives of building a concrete capability within the Protech Group.
