ordinary shares were transferred from treasury shares on 20 and 21 February 2013 in respect of
the Company’s share plans.
Following the transfers, Anglo American plc has a total of 14,029,624 ordinary shares held in
treasury and a total of 1,391,432,822 ordinary shares in issue, excluding treasury shares.
