ordinary shares were transferred from treasury shares between 1 and 4 March 2013 in respect of
the Company’s share plans.
Following the transfers, Anglo American plc has a total of 12,197,035 ordinary shares held in
treasury and a total of 1,393,265,411 ordinary shares in issue, excluding treasury shares.
