In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE
Limited, the board of directors of Santam Limited ("the board") hereby notifies
its shareholders that Mr Vusumuzi (Vusi) Phillip Khanyile (“Vusi”) will resign
as Chairman and Non-Executive Director with effect from 29 May 2013. Vusi
has served on the board since 16 April 2010 and as Chairman since 2 June
2010. Vusi has contributed significantly to the success of Santam and
Management and the Board take this opportunity of thanking him for his loyal
and dedicated contribution to the Group. We wish him continued success in
the future.
