TREASURY SHARES - TRANSFERS
In accordance with Listing Rule 12.6.4, Anglo American plc announces that a total of 484
ordinary shares were transferred from treasury shares on 2 April 2013 in respect of the
Company’s share plans. It has further come to the attention of the Company that we omitted to
make an announcement regarding a transfer of a total of 432 ordinary shares from treasury
shares on 25 March 2013.
Following the transfers, Anglo American plc has a total of 11,777,072 ordinary shares held in
treasury and a total of 1,393,688,260 ordinary shares in issue, excluding treasury shares.
