OPERATIONS RESUME AT KROONDAL PLATINUM MINE’S KWEZI SHAFT
Aquarius Platinum Limited (“Aquarius”) advises that operations have resumed at the Kwezi shaft of the
Kroondal Platinum Mine (“Kroondal”) following the lifting of suspension notices issued on 25 March 2013.
Mining operations were temporarily suspended following a fatal accident at the mine.
The temporary suspension of mining operations resulted in a loss of approximately 1,500 (4E) ounces of
production attributable to Aquarius.
Aquarius continues to support the enquiry into the accident by the Department of Mineral Resources. The
tragic accident occurred 21 days after Kroondal had achieved 2,000,000 fatality free shifts.
