SPECIAL DIVIDEND DISTRIBUTION ANNOUNCEMENT IN RELATION TO THE SLM SHARE INSTALMENT
Notice is hereby given of the special dividend amount payable for SANLAM LTD and that as a result
of the special dividend declaration relating to SANLAM LTD (SLM) the Trustees of the Share
Instalment Trust have declared a special dividend amount of 50 cents per SLMNIJ share instalment
that is payable on Monday, 29 April 2013. The special dividend is subject to a local tax of 15 percent.
No STC credits were utilized. This results in a net special dividend of 42.5 cents per share instalment.
The final payment will be rounded to two decimal places.
The last day to trade cum-dividend is Friday, 19 April 2013. The Share Instalment will commence
trading ex-dividend from Monday, 22 April 2013. The record date will be Friday, 26 April 2013.
SANLAM LTD's income tax number is 9536/346/84/5.
