RESIGNATION OF JD GROUP EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
In terms of 3.59(b) of the Listings Requirements of the
JSE Limited, shareholders are advised that Ian Thompson,
the Executive Director – Finance and Corporate Affairs,
has resigned from the board of JD Group (“the Board”)
with effect from 23 May 2013.
Mr David Sussman, the Group’s Chief Executive Officer,
said “Ian has made a significant contribution to the
JD Group over the last 10 years and over recent years
has been instrumental in the restructuring and funding
of the balance sheet of the business. I thank him on
behalf of all of his colleagues and wish him well in his
future endeavours”.
The Chairman of the Board, Mr Vusi Khanyile, added that
“Whilst we are sad to see Ian leave, we respect his wishes
and are grateful for the contribution that he has made to
the Board and the business of the JD Group.”
Ian will leave the employ of the Group on 30 June 2013.
