The Company was notified on 30 May 2013 that on 30 May 2013 Mr K J Wheaton, a person
discharging managerial responsibilities, purchased 311 British American Tobacco p.l.c. ordinary
shares of 25p each at a price of 3,650.00 pence per share.
Following the above transaction, the total beneficial and family interests of Mr K J Wheaton in British
American Tobacco p.l.c. 25p ordinary shares was 19,203 (including 12,797 Deferred Shares).
