Update announcement
1. Shareholders are referred to the announcement released on SENS on 14 June 2013 and are
hereby advised that the Western Cape High Court (“the Court”) has earlier today granted the
Directors of the Company leave to appeal to the Supreme Court of Appeal against the whole of
the judgement handed down on 24 May 2013 in respect of the Application in terms of Section
162 of the Companies Act 71 of 2008 instituted by Cape Empowerment Trust Limited (“CET”)
against the Directors.
2. Shareholders are further advised that the Court has also ordered that despite the Order referred
to in paragraph 1 above, the Order contained in the judgment handed down on 24 May 2013
shall operate and be of force and effect.
3. Shareholders are further advised that CET has filed Opposing Papers on 31 July 2013 in respect
of the Applications made to the Companies Tribunal on 6 June 2013.
