DECLARED DIVIDEND ANNOUNCEMENT ON BHP BILLITON PLC HOT ENHANCED DIVIDEND SECURITIES
– (“BILIHK”)
With reference to the dividend announcement, the Directors of BHP Billiton plc have declared an final dividend of
59 US cents per ordinary share payable on Wednesday, 25 September 2013 to ordinary shareholders, recorded
in the books of the company at the close of business on Friday, 6 September 2013.
The currency exchange rate applicable for the dividend will be announced on the last day to trade Friday, 30
August 2013.
Accordingly, the holders of BILIHK, will receive a BHP Billiton plc dividend amount per security on Wednesday, 25
September 2013 in terms of the Cession clause incorporated in the Supplement between the holders and Investec
Bank Limited. The last day to trade (“cum” the dividend) in order to participate in the dividend will be Friday,30
August 2013.
BILIHK Hot Enhanced Dividend Securities will commence trading “ex” the dividend from the commencement of
business on Monday, 2 September 2013, and the record date will be Friday, 6 September 2013.
