PROPOSED ACQUISITION BY OCEANA GROUP LIMITED (“OCEANA”) OF THE
FISHING INTERESTS OF FOODCORP PROPRIETARY LIMITED (“FOODCORP”)
Shareholders are referred to the Oceana announcement released
on SENS earlier today advising that the Competition Commission
has approved the proposed acquisition by Oceana of the fishing
interests of Foodcorp, subject to certain conditions.
RCL Foods shareholders are advised that one of these
conditions is not acceptable to the parties. Accordingly, the
parties will file a Request for Consideration with the
Competition Tribunal challenging the condition in question. In
the interim, the parties have agreed to extend the sale of
business agreement for a further three months to 31 January
2014.
