Clayville Extension 28 - update on acquisition of properties
Shareholders were advised on 15 April 2013 that a wholly owned subsidiary of RBA, namely
RBA Developments (Tshwane) (Pty) Ltd (“the Purchaser”) entered into an agreement with the
Clayville Garden City Housing Company Proprietary Limited for the acquisition of nine
properties in Clayville Extension 28 Township for purposes of developing affordable housing.
The properties were earmarked for the construction of rental apartments that would be sold
to market participants focused on owning residential rental portfolios. Shareholders are
hereby notified that the Purchaser has thus far been unable to secure a buyer for the
proposed apartments to be built and that the current agreement for the purchase of the
properties has thus lapsed.
