APPOINTMENT OF LEAD INDEPENDENT NON EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
In accordance with paragraphs 3.59(c) and 3.84(c) of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited and
in compliance with the King Code, shareholders are hereby advised that Khetiwe McClain, currently an
independent non-executive director of the Company, has been appointed as the lead independent
director of Village Main Reef Limited with immediate effect. Khetiwe McClain obtained a BA (Fine Arts)
degree. She was the CEO and executive chairperson of Alexkor Limited, a state-owned diamond mine
in Alexander Bay, until September 2011. She is an executive director of Khusela Women Investments
(Pty) Limited of which she is a founding shareholder. She also sits on the board of trustees of AECI
Ltd.
