TRADING UPDATE
In terms of the JSE Limited’s Listings Requirements, issuers
are required to publish a trading update as soon as they are
reasonably certain that the financial results for the current
reporting period will differ by more than 20% from those of
the corresponding period.
Accordingly, shareholders are advised that for the six months
ended 31 December 2013 ARB expects its:
• earnings per share will be between 25% and 35% higher
than the 19.35 cents reported for the six months ended 31
December 2012; and
• headline earnings per share will be between 30% and 40%
higher than the 18.43 cents reported for the six months
ended 31 December 2012.
The increase is attributable to strong trading performances
from both the Electrical and Lighting divisions.
ARB’s interim results for the six months ended 31 December
2013 are expected to be released on SENS on 13 February 2014
followed by presentations to the Investment Analysts Society
in Johannesburg and Cape Town on the 17th and 18th of February
2014 respectively.
