In accordance with paragraph 3.59 of the JSE Listings Requirements, shareholders are advised
that Mr Nick Read will step down from the Board with effect 5 February 2014. This follows his
recent appointment as Chief Financial Officer designate of the Vodafone Group on 1 January
2014.
Mr Peter Moyo, Chairman of Vodacom Group, thanked Nick for his valuable contribution to the
Board and wished much success in his new role at Vodafone.
Shareholders are further advised that Ms Serpil Timuray who was appointed to the Board in
September 2012 will succeed Nick on 5 February 2014 as a member of the Vodacom Group
Nomination and Remuneration Committees.
