TRADING STATEMENT
In accordance with paragraph 3.4(b) of the listings requirements of the JSE Limited, shareholders are
advised that Iliad’s results for the year ended 31 December 2013 will reflect earnings per share (EPS) and
headline earnings per share (HEPS) as follows:

As anticipated at the interim results release, the second half financial performance reflects the benefits of
the portfolio adjustments (including the disposal of the Timber Wholesale, Ceramics and Ceramics Cash
& Carry businesses) implemented during the 2013 year.
The financial information on which this trading statement is based, has not been reviewed by the
company’s auditors. The company’s results will be released on or about 11 March 2014.
