RESPONSIBILITY OR CONNECTED PERSONS
Notifications made in accordance with Disclosure Rule 3.1.4R(1)(a) of the Disclosure Rules and
Transparency Rules.
1. The Company was notified on 6 March 2014 by the trustee of the British American Tobacco
Employee Share Ownership Plan that on 5 March 2014 the following executive director and
other persons discharging managerial responsibility (together the “Participants”) had purchased
ordinary shares of 25p each in British American Tobacco p.l.c. (the “Shares”) by way of the
Partnership Share Scheme at a price of 3,314.743 pence per Share.
The number of Shares purchased by each Participant, together with their interests following the
transaction, are as follows:

purchased 2,000 Shares at a price of 3,327 pence per Share.
Following this transaction, Dr Murphy has a beneficial and family interest in the Company of
5,000 Shares.
