GEN – General - Mr MB Mathabathe – Censures imposed by the JSE
on Mr Mathabathe in his capacity as a former director of Esor
Limited
The JSE Limited (“JSE”) wishes to advise the following
concerning certain findings by the JSE in respect of Mr
Mathabathe:
a. The JSE has found Mr Mathabathe, in his capacity as a
director of Esor Limited at the time of the
transgressions, to be in breach of paragraphs 3.65 and
3.66 of the JSE Listings Requirements (“LR”);
b. As announced on SENS on 31 July 2013, Mr Mathabathe
traded in the securities of the company of which he was a
director without the required clearance from the company
and he failed to disclose the trades timeously;
c. The JSE has decided to impose a public censure against Mr
Mathabathe as well as a fine of R150 000 (R125 000 of
which is suspended for twenty-four months) in relation to
the above mentioned breaches of the LR.
