IMPLATS TRADING STATEMENT
In terms of the requirements of paragraph 3.4(b) of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements,
shareholders are advised that the Company’s headline earnings per share (HEPS) and basic earnings
per share (EPS) for the financial year ended 30 June 2014 are expected to be more than 20% lower
than the comparable figures for the financial year ended 30 June 2013. A key contributor to the
decline of the HEPS and EPS was the five-month strike at the Impala Rustenburg operations during
the second half of the financial year.
A further announcement will be made as soon as the Company and its directors have a reasonable
degree of certainty of the final results.
The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been reviewed and
reported on by the external auditors of Implats.
