CHANGES TO THE BOARD
In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, Murray
& Roberts is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Ralph Havenstein as an
independent Non-Executive Director and member of the Health, Safety & Environment
Committee and Social & Ethics Committee, with effect from 1 August 2014.
Ralph is a chemical engineer and has completed a Senior Executive Programme at the
Stanford Graduate School of Business. Ralph has experience in the petrochemical and
mining sectors, and currently serves as a non-executive director on the boards of Northam
Platinum Limited, Omnia Holdings Limited, Atlatsa Resources Corporation, Hernic
Ferrochrome Proprietary Limited and Reatile Proprietary Limited. Ralph is a past chief
executive officer of Anglo American Platinum Limited as well as Norilsk Nickel International.
Ralph was previously Vice President of the SA Chamber of Mines and was a director of
Mintek (South Africa) Limited.
