RESPONSIBILITY OR CONNECTED PERSONS
Notifications made in accordance with Disclosure Rule 3.1.4R(1)(a) of the Disclosure Rules and
Transparency Rules.
1. The Company was notified on 3 September 2014 that on 2 September 2014 Ms Ann Godbehere,
a Non-Executive Director, purchased 335 British American Tobacco p.l.c. American Depositary
Receipts (“ADRs”), represented by 670 British American Tobacco p.l.c. ordinary shares (the
“Shares”), at a price of US$118.09 per ADR.
Following the above transaction, Ms Godbehere has a total beneficial and family interest in
3,577 Shares.
2. The Company was notified on 4 September 2014 by the trustee of the British American Tobacco
Employee Share Ownership Plan that on 3 September 2014 the following executive director and
other persons discharging managerial responsibility (together the “Participants”) had purchased
ordinary shares of 25p each in British American Tobacco p.l.c. by way of the Partnership Share
Scheme at a price of 3,580.50 pence per Share.
The number of Shares purchased by each Participant, together with their interests following the
