DISCLOSURE OF DISPOSAL OF SECURITIES
In accordance with the JSE Limited Listings Requirements and Section 122(1) of the
Companies Act, No 71 of 2008 (“the Act”), shareholders are advised that The Capital
Group Companies, Inc (“Capital Group”) has formally notified Shoprite Holdings that it
has disposed of ordinary shares in the Company on behalf of its clients, resulting in the
total beneficial interest of Shoprite Holdings ordinary shares held by Capital Group on
behalf of its clients reducing to 4.9737% of the total issued Shoprite Holdings ordinary
shares.
Shoprite Holdings has, as required by section 122(3) of the Act, filed the required notice
with the Takeover Regulation Panel.
