Scaw Metals extends Afrox R400m contract
Shareholders are advised that Afrox has signed a 10-year contract extension with Scaw
Metals Group to supply 50 tons-per-day of oxygen to its Wadeville works. The new
agreement, encompassing previous updates of old agreements, will be worth more than
R400million in the longer term.
“Scaw Metals has been a long-time customer and we are delighted to have been awarded
this contract extension,” said Afrox Managing Director, Brett Kimber. “For Afrox, this is
recognition of the improvements made in our tonnage plant reliability, which in the first half of
2014 attained levels of 99%, nationally.”
