FURTHER CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT
Northam shareholders are referred to the cautionary announcements released on SENS, the last of which
was released on Friday, 8 August 2014, wherein shareholders were advised of a proposed transaction to
increase Northam’s Historically Disadvantaged South African share ownership levels within the company
(proposed HDSA transaction).
Shareholders are further advised that details of the proposed HDSA transaction are being finalised and the
proposed transaction, if successfully concluded, may have a material effect on the price of the company’s
securities. Accordingly, shareholders are advised to continue exercising caution when dealing in the
company’s securities until a full announcement is made.
