Anglo American plc announces that Sir Philip Hampton, a Non-Executive Director of the
Company, has been appointed to the board of GlaxoSmithKline plc as a Non-Executive
Director from 1 January 2015. GlaxoSmithKline plc has announced that Sir Philip will become
Deputy Chairman with effect from 1 April 2015 and Chairman with effect from 1 September
2015.
This notification satisfies the Company's obligations under the Financial Conduct Authority
Listing Rule 9.6.14.
