Subject: Pricing Supplement Clarification

Eskom Holdings SOC Limited hereby wishes to clarify paragraph 26 of the Pricing Supplements
related to series 4 (EL15), series 7 (EL28), series 8 (EL29) series 9 (EL30) and series 11 (EL31) issued
under its DMTN programme. The early redemption for taxation reasons or on event of default will
be the CPI adjustment applied to the nominal amount. Future pricing supplements related to these
series will be adjusted accordingly.
