NOTIFICATION IN TERMS OF SECTION 122(3) OF THE COMPANIES ACT AND
PARAGRAPH 3.83(b) OF THE JSE LIMITED LISTING REQUIREMENTS
In accordance with section 122(3)(b) of the Companies Act, No. 71 of
2008 ("the Act") and paragraph 3.83(b) of the JSE Limited Listings
Requirements, shareholders are hereby advised that Eqstra has today
received formal notification that Investec Limited ("Investec")
decreased its shareholding in Eqstra, such that the total interest in
the securities of the Company held by Investec now amounts to
9.9809%, from 10.0138%. Included in the above it was also noted that
clients of Investec Asset Management Proprietary Limited ("Investec
Asset Management") have, in aggregate, disposed of an interest in the
securities of the Company, such that the total interest in the
securities of the Company held by Investec Asset Management clients
has decreased to 9.9777%, from 10.0106%.
As required in terms of section 122(3)(a) of the Act, the Company has
filed the required notice with the Takeover Regulation Panel.
