The Company was notified on 29 January 2015 that on 28 January 2015 Mr J B Stevens, an Executive
Director and a person discharging managerial responsibilities, acquired 1,000 British American
Tobacco p.l.c. ordinary shares of 25p each (the “Shares”) following the exercise of options held
under the British American Tobacco Sharesave Scheme at an option price of £15.55 per Share.
Following this notification, Mr Stevens has a total beneficial and family interest in 117,357 Shares
(including 56,476 Deferred Shares).
