The Company was notified on 5 March 2015 by the trustee of the British American Tobacco
Employee Share Ownership Plan that on 4 March 2015 the following executive director and
other persons discharging managerial responsibilities (together the “Participants”) had
purchased ordinary shares of 25p each in British American Tobacco p.l.c. (the “Shares”) by
way of the Partnership Share Scheme at a price of 3,748.5 pence per Share.
