ACQUISITION OF ACCURATE FARM
In terms of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements (“Listing Requirements”) Sovereign shareholders are
advised that Sovereign, through its wholly owned subsidiary Crown Chickens (Pty) Ltd, has entered into
agreement on 9 March 2015 to purchase a broiler farm from Simile Farmers (Pty) Ltd in order to secure its
supply chain, for a total cash purchase price of R36.25 million plus VAT. The purchase has been
categorised as a category 2 transaction in accordance with the Listings Requirements and accordingly
Shareholder approval of the purchase is not required. All conditions precedent have been fulfilled.
