TRADING STATEMENT UPDATE
Further to the announcement on 17 February 2015, Sovereign shareholders are advised that the
Company’s earnings per share (“EPS”) and headline earnings per share (“HEPS”) for the year ended
28 February 2015 are expected to be more than 50% higher than those of the of the previous
corresponding period, i.e. EPS and HEPS are expected to be at least 87.8 cents (2014: 58.5 cents)
and 90.3 cents (2014: 60.2 cents) per share respectively.
The Company will provide shareholders with an updated trading statement range, when there is a
more reasonable degree of certainty.
Sovereign shareholders are also advised that the Company is awaiting a decision on a certain legal
matter that, if favourable towards the Company, would further increase the Company’s earnings.
The Company’s auditors have not reviewed or reported on the financial information on which this
trading statement is based.
Shareholders are advised that the Company’s results for the year ended 28 February 2015 are
expected to be published on or about 15 May 2015.
