Basil Read is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Mahomed Salim
Ismail Gani as an independent non-executive director to the board of
directors and as a member of the audit committee, with effect from 15 April
2015.
Mr Gani qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1979. He holds a B Compt
degree and B Compt Honours from the University of South Africa.
Mr Gani has over 30 years of experience in the accounting and audit
profession. He was a founding partner of MSGM Masuku Jeena Inc, a partner
of Saboor Gani & Co and a partner of PwC until 2013. He served as the Chief
Financial Officer of Alter Steel Holdings Limited until April 2014.
Mr Gani is a Director of South African National Blood Services.
The Board welcomes Mr Gani’s appointment.
